The Department of Plastic Surgery at Government Thiruvarur Medical College & Hospital provides reconstructive surgical care aimed at restoring form and function in patients affected by injuries, burns, congenital anomalies and disease.

The department works closely with the emergency and trauma services, General Surgery, Orthopaedics and other departments in the management of complex wounds and reconstruction, with attention to functional outcome, appearance and rehabilitation.
